Namimori could be such a beautiful place in the spring. Flowers in bloom, sakura petals dancing in the light, cool breeze and the streets were serene. Yes there were plenty of people, but spring had a strange effect on people. While summer made them immensely energetic and a bit obnoxious, spring had this beauty which charmed them like snakes. Everyone went about their business almost at peace with themselves.

Then again, this calm feeling could also be because the rowdy students and loud children were all at school or in day care. So, why did you come here of all places. Well to put it simply, you and your current boyfriend were visiting his mother.

This place though, it reminded you of when you were younger. When you first came here years ago, you had gotten lost on the day of your transfer. You managed to find your way to this market, but could not find your way to the school grounds. After another 30 min of wandering on, you found yourself in a residential area of sorts.

There, you had your first encounter with Sawada Tsunayoshi, who graciously offered to walk you to school despite the fact that he was already late enough. You insisted you wouldn't be able to keep up, despite your athleticism, he insisted it would be alright if you walked. Truthfully, you just didn't want to be all sweaty when you made your introductions and truthfully, Tsuna knew that you two would surely get killed by Hibari, but he didn't want you to have to face him alone on your first day either.

So for a while, you two just walked together through the development. He gave you a mini tour of sorts and though you were going to be seriously late on your first day, you didn't mind as much. After some time, Tsuna realized that he was actually leading you in the wrong direction and you two had to make a complete 180. He was so nervous that you would be angry, call him stupid or start calling him a loser like everyone else already did, but to his delight, you giggled and told him it was nice to meet someone so enthusiastic about a small tour, even if it did mean that you two would get lost and eventually end up missing an entire school day.

He told you a lot about some of the different characters you could meet around the school. He was actually ecstatic over the fact that despite the reasons everyone calls him Dame Tsuna, you still thought it was too cruel to call a kind and generous person like him a loser, even if he wasn't the brightest. You were the first person who encouraged him and who thoroughly enjoyed his company. You had to admit yourself, he was absolutely adorable. He may have been a bit shy at first, but eventually he really got into conversing with you and kind of reminded you of a cute puppy.

After finding yourselves going in the wrong direction yet again, you two eventually decided that it wasn't worth going to your final class, so your introduction to Namimori would have to be postponed for another day. You wandered around a little more around some of the neighborhoods so you wouldn't get caught actually trying to skip school. If you did run into the occasional adult, you would fib and tell them that your class was released early that day.

Once classes truly were over, you asked Tsuna if he want to go and get something to eat as a way to repay him for the afternoon. After a bit of back and forth, Tsuna gave in and accepted your offer. He would have accepted much sooner, but he didn't want to seem too eager. So you dragged him into town and got some takoyaki. After another hour of random chit chat, it was time you actually got home. A whole day of aimless wandering and talking had proven to be quite the workout.

Just as you were about to leave the main street, you saw a little jewelry shop on the corner which advertised "friendship rings", geared towards children naturally. As stupid as it sounds, this store made you feel like you were 8 again, having two accessories which fit like puzzle pieces, worn by separate people. You ran over the store and bought the most adorable one you could see. They were little rings, seeing as he already had one on (hint hint), which had two puppies sitting side by side. One was brown and the other matched your (h/c) hair perfectly. Tsuna reluctantly accepted the brown dog, although he wasn't too keen on the girly and childish aspect, he did seem to find your cheeriness quite infectious.

Since that day, you two had been the best of friends and he eventually told you about the mafia to which you boldly dedicated your full support to. A couple years after that, you two finally started dating and you couldn't have been happier. He didn't worry as much about you getting involved in the family since you "had a knack for slipping out of any situation", as Reborn would put it. You all eventually moved into the mansion and whenever Tsuna wasn't home, you would try to learn more about different families and other prominent figures in the mafia world in case such information was necessary.  You didn't just sit around and read all day though. You trained on the side as well in case you needed to defend yourself. Though once Tsuna came home, you were practically with him all the time. You didn't depend on him, rather you wanted to make the most of the moments when he wasn't the boss. Those moments where he was still the puppy dog Tsuna you fell in love with.

It took a few weeks, but he started to grasp the true reason for your showering affection whenever he came back. After all, he found the books in your room and noticed the recently opened files on his computer one day when he came home earlier than anticipated from a mission. He figured that even though he spent almost all of his time with you while he was at the mansion, you probably would've grown a bit bored and even a bit lonely.

So that's why he brought you back. To the place where it all began. He had initially told you he was only going to visit his mother, but little did you know, he had something else planned entirely. In fact tonight, you were going out to eat at some really fancy restaurant  that you weren't even aware existed in Namimori. You looked down at your watch and realized that if you didn't get going soon, you would have anytime to get ready, so you made your way back to the house.

~*Time skip cause I'm getting carried away*~

You arrived at the restaurant and were waiting for him to show up. He had mentioned before how he had some business to attend to while the two of you were in town. After 5 more minutes of waiting, you heard footsteps approaching at a high speed and whipped around prepared to defend yourself if need be, but sighed in relief when you found that it was just Tsuna. He bent over slightly panting. He was wearing a suit, but his tie was a bit crooked and his shirt was untucked on one side from his mini marathon just now. He stood up straight and tried to fumble with his tie.

"You're hopeless." You said with a gentle smile. You fixed his shirt and retied his tie. Once it was perfect, you held it in your hands for a second and looked up into his soft eyes. Reading his thoughts, you pecked his lips and whispered, "It's fine, I wasn't waiting long." It may have been a lie, but he fell for it anyways. He was about to usher you inside until he reached inside his pocket to find something that wasn't there. He stopped moving and frantically began searching his pockets. You turned around and noticed the look in his eye. Total embarrassment.

"U-uh, I'm really sorry, but it seems that I lost my wallet." You paused for a moment, not sure whether to believe him or not, but since he had a tendency to lose things, you went against your gut and trusted him on this one. After all, Tsuna would have the misfortune of losing his wallet on date night... You smiled at him already with a solution in mind, "Hey Tsuna, how about we go visit Takeshi's dad?" Knowing that you would most likely get to eat there for free, you figured date night wouldn't be a total bust. He shook his head and smiled sheepishly. "Well, maybe we could just go for a little walk for now. I really wanted to get a chance to talk like we used to..." Secretly hoping to in turn find his lost 'wallet', he was happy when you took his hand and asked where to. You secretly knew that he would feel a bit uncomfortable taking you on a date there considering how much the sushi chef wanted you to date his son.

After about an hour or so or walking all around Namimori (and much to Tsuna's dismay), you two failed to find anything and began to walk towards the shrine. You figured just because the whole dinner plan didn't work out, it didn't mean that you couldn't still have a nice night. So you decided to watch the sun set over the town.

You sat down together on the top step at the entrance of the shrine and rested your head in the crook of his neck. You were getting a bit sleepy as you hadn't really sat down all day and you wanted to capture this moment with him. It was so... peaceful. You weren't at the mansion for one and it was just the two of you right now, so it didn't even feel like the mafia had anything to do with you. For the first time, you were just a normal couple watching the sunset over Namimori. You weren't preparing for Gokudera to run into the room with some stupid report which to you felt like was just another excuse to see his most precious Jyuudaime, and you didn't have to worry over how much time you two had left before his next mission.

You really didn't like him being in the mafia as much, but you understood his responsibilities and kept your opinions to yourself. You didn't want him to have to think about how you felt all the time and just be a burden to him. After all, you loved him. You loved him more than anything in the world and you didn't want your own personal needs to sacrifice what you had. You sighed and closed you eyes, just reveling in this moment. Usually, you would talk his ear off at this point, but you were silent as you breathed softly against his chest. His face was flushed, but he just wrapped his arm around you and held you there.

Moments passed and the sun had started its final decent covering all of Namimori in an orange hue. Tsuna pondered for a moment before he started to speak. "Ne, (f/n), it's been a long time since we've done something like this, hasn't it?" You yawned and nodded your head tickling his neck with your soft locks. "Mmhm. It's really nice." You snuggled further into him as it began to get a bit chillier as the sun set further. He kissed the top of your forehead and stroked your cheek. "You know Tsuna, you've changed a lot throughout the years," You paused for a second and let the panic set in a bit. "... but that doesn't necessarily mean change is a bad thing." You looked up at his face and smiled. His face went from slight fear to complete embarrassment. You pinched his cheek. "Hehe got you." You teased. He pouted a bit, but tried to compose himself quickly and retorted. "And you haven't changed a bit." You puffed your cheeks out trying not to laugh. Instead you buried your face back into his neck obnoxiously just to fluster him. His face went beet red and he nearly feel over. It was perfect. You knew all the ways you could fluster him and no matter how hard he tried, you would always win in the end.

You looked at him once more and burst out laughing. He was brighter than a ripe tomato. He hesitantly joined in your laughter, partly because he was still a bit awkward. Your giggles faded and you intertwined one of his hands in yours. "Imagine if we could do stuff like this all the time." Tsuna gulped a little. "(f/n)." His tone seemed to shock you a bit. You slowly looked up in his eyes. They were gentle and loving, yet serious. "Would that make you happy?" The question was a little odd. Of course you would be over the moon if you two could share these moments everyday, but the likelihood of that was slim to none. "U-um, it would be fun, but we don't have to do it everyday..." He gave you an understanding smile. He should have figured you would consider his schedule. You had been thinking so practically lately and who could blame you. Within the past year, you had spent well over 4 months in the mansion without him. While you loved dreaming, sometimes you have to think in reality when you'd really prefer not to.

"(f/n). I lied about losing my wallet." You tilted your head in confusion. Yes, you hadn't fully believed him at first, but you never expected him to actually lie to you. "In fact, I've had my wallet this entire time. But... I did lose something important."

Now you were really confused. Tsuna rarely kept things from you, especially if they were considered important. You two told each other everything, or you'd just find out in your own special way. He took both of your hands in his and stood up. You stood up as well facing him directly. "In all honesty, I lost a little box that had something I was going to give to you. So I hope..." He buried his hand in his pocket and pulled out a little ring with a brown puppy on it. "This'll do until I find it."

Now, you weren't usually this dense, but in the heat of the moment, you could quite believe what was happening.

"Um... (f/n), I know I'm no angel. I'm just me, but I will love you endlessly. So," He bent down on one knee. "Will you stay in this moment with me, forever?" You looked down at the old ring which was still in good condition. You were surprised that he had even held onto it for all these years. "U-um, if you aren't sure yet, you can say n-no..." You felt tears well up in your eyes and you took his hand and said the only word which could come to mind.

"Yes."

He stood up with a big smile on his face. Hardly containing his excitement, he put the ring in your pinky finger since it wouldn't fit on your ring finger and kissed you. Unlike the many other kisses you two shared, this one was long and passionate. He held you by the small of your back and you pulled him flush against you with your arms around his neck. When you finally broke apart, he pinned his forehead against yours. You could see that his eyes were watery as well. Catching your breath a little you rested one hand on his shoulder. "So, where did you manage to find such a ring?" You joked.

He laughed. "Well you know, there's a shop down the street where they sell plastic rings..."

"Really?"

"I swear it. Yeah I know that's it's cheap, not like gold in your dreams, but I hope that you'll still wear it."

You smiled and kissed him again.

"Of course."

I KNOW HOW CHEESY THIS IS.

Sometimes the world needs a little cheese now and then...
Once again, I hope you enjoyed. The song that inspired this story was Endlessly by The Cab.

I do not own the lyrics used in the proposal and in fact, I do not own the song itself, all rights go to The Cab for that one. I also do not own KHR and all rights go to their respective owners. The plotline is mine, however it was inspired by the song Endlessly. If you enjoyed this, stay tuned for more of this series!

Special Note: I do not plan on making all of the stories this long. Unless I get carried away do not expect every single one to be this length. I do not favor Tsuna over others, rather his personality just fit the story the best.
